Dongguan, China. — Jun 23rd, 2018 — Rongwen Group, welcomed and demonstrated its leading innovative smart city solutions during a two-day visit organized by CEM and 10 government offices in Macao.
The five-year development plan of the Macao Special Administrative region (2016-2020) issued in 2016 and the policy address of the government in recent years have all put forward specific requirements for the construction of a smart city in Macao. Knowing Rongwen’s reputation and extensive experience in smart city, Macao has organized a delegation with 38 government officers led by the Director of Energy Office, Zhiliang Xu to understand how to build and operate IoT based smart city projects.
During the visit, Rongwen has demonstrated its well-proven state-of-art smart city technologies, including leveraging different network technologies for different applications. In the introduction, General Manager of Rongwen, Zhixiong Lee, spoke about the advantages and social benefits of current deployment, using Guangzhou as a case study to demonstrate Rongwen’s ConnectCity smart city platform.
“We’ve created an innovative platform to control and monitor a lot of city’s infrastructure, in order to enhance security, improve energy efficiency, and create social benefits.” Said Zhixiong Lee.
The multi-function smart lamppost is integrated with various modules, such as smart street lighting, smart cameras, smart LED screens, weather information screen, EV charging stations, emergency help point, environmental sensors, and 4/5G micro base stations. It is a hardware carrier that helps generate energy efficiency and revenues in PPP business models. The ConnectCity smart city platform offers remote access and control of these devices and makes sure smooth management during the operational stage.

In Rongwen smart cit experience center, Eva Wang, Director of International Business Development, has shared Rongwen’s smart city deployment experience in Southeast Asian and South American countries.
Close to the end of the visit, Director Xu gave high praise to Rongwen's professional and technical solutions, project operation capability at home and abroad, and excellent team members. He hopes that Rongwen team would come to Macao to share experiences and exchange technology and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of Macao's smart city.
